Have Pain In Waist Level On Right Side. Overweight And Stressed. Remedy?
I have been having a pain at waist level on my right side for several weeks. I have no pain at night and feel fine in the mornings. As the day goes on, it typically gets worse. I can get it to subside if I stop and focus on relaxing and/or massage the area. It is a cramping/pinching pain. Sometimes the waist of my pants aggrivates the pain. I am a 55 year old female and I am overweight. I am on spirinolactone. In the past 3 months I have lost my step father and my best friend. I've been going on the assumption that it is stress related but the fact that it's still hurting is stressing me more.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Pain at the level of waist on the right side could be due to a muscle sprain, an intra abdominal pathology or an injury in the area. An ultrasound scan is necessary to find out the cause. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
