Have Pain In Left Chest. Feels Swollen Heart. Sharp Pain While Sneezing. ECG Normal. Heart Rate Is Low. On Paracetamol. Suggestions
Hi
For over a week I have been suffering pains on the left hand side of my chest. It feels as though my heart is swollen and is very uncomfortable for intermittent periods. When i sneeze or sit up I get a sharp pain on the left side of the chest. I had an ECG and it was normal but my heart rate was 38-43. I am fit but not overly so this heart rate concerns me. The hospital have sent me away to take parcetamol and ibruprofen but I am concerned about the low heart rate any ideas?
Hello the heart rate will be low when patients on some antihypertensives, hard workers, few febrile illness, athletes etc. If you have symptoms like giddiness on standing, syncopal attacks, you have to consult cardiologist immediately and take his opinion. i hope you understood, take care and get well soon.
