In May I incured a 3rd metatarsal and then a week later 2nd metatarsal stress fracture . The Md placed me in flat shoe type strap device and had me wear it for 2 months. we discovered I had osteoporosis and we are treating this. SInce my fx did not heal well, with increased build up of loose calcium deposits I was put ina boot cast. With all this I incured a large metatarsalitis area under the great toe due to the wt being cared by the great toe, the 4th and 5th metatarsal. the fxed 2nd and 3rd metatarsal are pulled back and not wt bearing. My foot hurts. Nothing seem to help wit this healing and I wonder what your answer can be.
