Have Had Gastro With Nausea, Vomiting And Diarrhoea. Stool Is Light And Pale Colored. Normal?
I have had gastro for the last 3 days, symptoms were nausea and vomiting with diarrhoea also temp of 39.5 Celsius which went back to normal after 1 day. Have noticed since the gastro that my stool is a light /pale colour although in texture quite normal. Have always had very regular bowel movements and since the gastro continue to have normal frequency. Is this stool colour a result of the gastro or something more sinister? I have also felt for the last 2 nights a slight feeling of nausea when trying to sleep, however I have had absolutely no pain associated with this.
HI ! Although you are relieved of your major symptoms, you still have nausea , which signifies that the infection you contacted still persists. Therefore, you are suggested to visit your family physician who may prescribe you with some antibiotics to eradicate your stomach infection along with some antacid, and anti emetic drugs. The colour of the stool does not signify anything in the present scenario. However, you may discuss with your doctor if you have to go a liver function test. Wishing you an early recovery.
