I have been having frequent headaches lately on the top of my head and I'm not sure of what is causing it. I also have neck and shoulder pain due to my job . I clean houses for a living and carry a vacuum and a heavy bag on my shoulder. I took ibuprofen today. The frequent headaches on the top of my head is what is bothering me.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The need to carry the heavy bag and vacuum may cause muscle pain in the shoulders and arms but should not cause a headache.

Headaches can occur for different reasons.
They can result from another medical condition or occur on their own.

The most common headaches are migraines, tension headaches, sinus headaches, cluster headaches. If you have no history of migraines or problems with your sinuses then these are unlikely to be causing your headache.

A tension headache would feel like a pressure, tightness or heaviness, mild or moderate in terms of intensity, not worse when you are doing your activities, no nausea or vomiting with it.

If you are experiencing stress and the headache is tension related then the use of painkillers plus addressing any stressful issues would help.

If it is unlikely to be tension related then you should consider a CT scan to check for any issues that may be causing the headache.

I hope this helps
