Have Dry Mouth Due To Medicine Intake. Feeling Unsteady While Walking. Can Ear Ache Be The Cause For Imbalance?

Hi
I'm Linda, I have dry mouth from medicine (for Parkinson, I'm 59, never been ill, was diagnosed March 2012) I'm taking. I'm beginning to wake up every morning with an ear ache. The question? I'm on a walker for my balance, I'm very unsteady. Can this be causing my imbalance ? Any information would be helpful.

Thanks
Linda

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding imbalance along with earache, though you are taking medicines for parkinson's disease.

Imbalance may be due to effect of parkinson's on labyrinth and cerebellum. Since you are having earache as well so other diseases of internal ear leading to imbalance should also be considered.

Here a thorough examination by ENT doctor is must and examination findings when get co-related with investigations like Audiometry, vestibular function tests etc , only than one may reach to probable diagnosis.

Regards.
