Have An Issue With The Ears, Could Hear An Echo Leading To Headache But Still Not Diagnosed With Specific Problem

I m having ear issues too. I have been to my PCP and an ENT. This is Day 22 and I m still isolating myself from normal everyday settings. I wasn t exposed to a loud noise, nor am I on medications. I m 47yo, healthy woman. My hearing test came back normal (not surprised). No signs of infection in the ear, no temp, no other signs of illness. I asked if hearing pressure could be an issue (thinking tympanogram... my son has had them numerous times.. he is hearing impaired). ENT said absolutely not. Sounds like a digitized echo in my ear, any external noise, or the sound of my own voice. Daily headaches from the noise.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding echo of your own spoken voice & headache , though your hearing tests are normal while tympanogram is showing pressure problem.

Considering all about your medical history it appears as your eustachian tube is not working well and leading to negative middle ear pressure which reflects as echo of your spoken words.

To manage it you should be thoroughly examined by ENT doctor to find out reason for eustachian tube dysfunction. Till you waiting for specialist care you may do-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Mucolytic.

I hope above had answered your query and it may be helpful also.

Regards.
