Have Allergic Conjunctivitis, Dry And Itchy Skin. Took Flouromethlone Steroid Eye Drops, Opatanol Hay Fever Eye Drops

I have allergic conjunctivitis and it has been irritating me a lot and the doctors gave me flouromethlone steroid eye drops and opatanol hay fever eye drops to use. The pre orbital skin around my eyes have become dry and itchy and my doctor told me to use Vaseline on the skin as it soothes the itchiness and dryness and is also good for allergic conjunctivitis is this true?

well.. it may sooth the skin but has no role in allergic conjunctivitis .. if ur skin is too itchi u should use steroid ointment in askin for few days.. cold compression is good ...

if its long standing and you are using steroid eye drop for lond duration it may cause glaucoma and cataract.. though fluorometholone is low dose steroid but still its a risk factor.. in that case u need to use steroid sparing agent for allergic conjunctivitis..
thank you
