Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Acute tonsillitis can be disturbing. However most of them respond to antibiotics and anti-inflammatory measures. Rarely, a few may remain unresponsive needing surgical removal.

You are doing good job by taking your pills regularly and by performing salt water gargles. Continue it as suggested by your doctor.

A soft and less spicy diet can be better palatable than normal diet during this episode. Drink enough fluids for additional benefits.

If symptoms persist for more than a week, report back to your treating doctor to plan the next step of treatment.

Hope this answers your query.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Regards
