Hard Lump On The Right Collarbone Near The Throat Area

I have a hard lump on the right collarbone near the throat area. It has been there a while, but I think it has very slowly gotten more noticeable. I recall mentioning it to my doc who was unconcerned -but this was a while back. It is not sore unless I press on it. Should I be concerned?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic forum
I would like to know a few details about your age and sex?is the lump painful? Are you suffering from weight loss or gain?Have You noticed any similar lumps elsewhere?when did u first notice it and how long have you been having it?Do You have any other health symptoms like cough?
If You provide these details I would be in a position to answer your query better
Iwould think of a thyroid problem if You are a female. It could also be a lymph node associated with an infection.causes like tuberculosis and malignancies also need to be ruled out.
Do let me know these details so that I could guide You better and suggest a few investigations like chest xray, measurement of thyroid hormones or maybe a biopsy.
thank you for consulting us
