Hard Lump Below The Elbow And On The Testicle. Need To Get Checked Soon?
My husband found a hard knot/lump on his right arm a little bigger than a pea, just below his elbow. It was swollen around the area but the swelling went down. The knot remained. Now he has the same kind of hard knot on his right testicle about the size of a marble. Is this something wee should go to the ER for our wait until next week to see or doctor?
Hi and thanks for the query, It would be very necessary for him to get consulted. Knowing the exact nature of the mass is important. This could be a lymph node or a tumour on its. Some cold abscesses could have similar presentations. A complete physical examination is mandatory with a complete blood count in search for a possible infection and erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C reactive proteins for levels of inflammation. Specific blood tests could be asked to exclude the tumour of the testes (Alpha feto proteins, ACE, Beta HCG) or biopsies to be sure its not a cancer or other benign tumor. I suggest you consult your general physician first. Thanks and best regards, Luchuo, MD.
