Hard Bump In Eye, Swelling, Redness And Painful. Will It Get Better?

Hello Doctor,

Hope your night is going well... Ok... So The other day next to the corner of the bottom of my right eye I noticed a little hard bump. Thought it would turn out to be a pimple but its not. This morning i noticed under my eye is getting swollen and its more swollen by night and a little red and it kinda hurts. Not sure what it is or what to do. Can you help??

Hello

It appears that you are suffering with stye with conjunctivitis in the affected eye. You should take hot fomentation 2-3 times a day, anti-biotic eye drops about 3 hourly, anti-biotic ointment at bed time.

You should also take some oral anti-biotics and anti-inflammatory tablets. You should take care of the hygiene of the eyes.

If a yellow point appears on the hard bump, you need to epilate the affected hair follicle so that the pus gets drained.

Regards
