If you have had a negative
pregnancy test at least 15 days after probable intercourse then it is most likely that you are not pregnant.
In women with tubes tied, the most fearsome situation is that of ectopic pregnancy. This happens when the fetus starts growing anywhere outside the
uterus. This must be diagnosed at earliest. Even in this condition, the pregnancy test must come as positive. If a
tubal ligation fails and you become pregnant, you have an increased risk of having an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies can occur years after the tubal ligation and are most likely 3 or more years after the procedure
Among 10,685 women studied, the risk of ectopic pregnancy within 10 years after
sterilization was about 7 per 1,000 procedures
I suggest you to get a repeat pregnancy test and then discuss your problem with gynecologist. If necessary, an
ultrasound scan might be indicated.
