Hello Doctor,
My mom is 59 year old at nw she is suffering from high blood pressure as well low sodiumchloride issue. She has tuberculosis in the month of march 2013 ( thirdtime ) . Later due to overdose of pza tablet she got jauindice. After 1 month hospitalisation her jaunidice was proper but she got back pain later mri suggest she is suffering frm ostoporseia . After dng both the treatment of ostoporsia and tuberculosis , she was ok for 1 month . On 28 oct she got vomiting and went loo for thrice and feel restlessness then she admit hospital again. Her wbc was at higher range 16700. Doctor admit her hospital for 7 days on 6 days her bp shoot up to 180 and on 7 days bp was on higher side. After dng ecg, kidney test, wbc , jauindice report are normal. On 2nd november she got convulsion and admitted to icu( due to unconsious for 3 days ) after treatment she got consicous and her nacl raise frm 116 to 134.after two week her bp shoot up and she felt unconcious and her nacl fall to 126. Then we shift to other hospital and they asked we dnt give any injection of nacl which u recvd in previous hospital ( 3percen of nacl). Here my mom is admitted for 15 days with oral salt of 8 gm and water limitation of 1200 ml. After 15 days her nacl is 137 and bp was 140 / 70. On this monday, again her bp shoot up to 180 I took her 2 same hospital they give bp treatment but nw nacl is less frm 137 on 1 dec to 132 on 3 dec. Doctor can u explain y nacl reducing and high bp !! Previous history never happen her.

HI
Than for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your mother, the sodium chloride is very crucial ion inside the human body and plays the bigger role and this ion being maintained entirely by kidneys the lowering of sodium chloride is obvious but higher level is indication of renal pathology and malabsorption it need thural investigations correcting the electrolyte imbalance some time gives good result and this has to be done with experienced physician, have nice day
