Hi,
The tubal ligation 7years ago is unlikely to cause the menstrual problem you have.
If you are in fourties it may be the premenopausal sign
But it is always advisable to get a through check up by a gynac including sonography to exclude certain conditions (Like FUH, Fibroids etc.) Which are common at the stage.
Back ache at the periods can be taken care of by pain relivents or other specific pills gynac advices.but in pre menopause it's common to have Calcium defficiency resulting in back pain.(Calcium with vit, D 500mgs. along a glass of milk ,green vegetables,Soya products would benifit.)Some inflmmation in pelvis may cause back ache -but it's usually associated with vaginal discharge. It also needs a Gynacs advice .
Shoulder pain can be just due to calcium defficiency OR strain/sprain (pain killer+calciumfor this) OR it might be some orthopedic problem demanding expert advice. IF it's left shoulder-associated with Diabetese,High blood pressure ,a physician's advice is needed.
I have tried to clarify -how your problems may have various causative factors,ALSO I have tried to explain common causes with simple remedies.
Please try to understand, any quries from your side ,I would definately solve.
Lastly it's always better to get a compleate health check up done after fourty.
Take care.
thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
If you don't mind , please mention the age as this will play an important role in diagnosis.
Tubal ligation was a normal thing as usual.
Almost 7 years passed so need not to worry about that.
If your age is more than 45 years than ,this irregular, scanty and heavy bleeding is an indicator of menopause.
So consult a gynaecologist for this.
As far as concerned about back pain , shoulder pain may be due to anxiety.
Stomach pain is also due to tension (gastritis).
Once diagnosis is made about bleeding , you will feel relaxed.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will be happy to help.
Good luck for healthy life.
Dr. HET
