Had Surgery To Remove Large Intestines. Why Is Cough With Green Phlegm? Ready For Another Abdominal Surgery?
I had a six hour surgery on March 27 to remove my large intestines. Since then, I ve developed a cough with green phlegm . I ve been on 3 different antibiotics and nothing has helped. I have another abdominal surgery coming up in July and I m afraid this cough is going to cause a lot of abdominal pain . Please help. Teri S.

you have aspiration bronchial infection.This is a complication of long anesthesia.
Your doctor has given you different antibiotics.Just go for blood culture with sensitivity test this will help to identify the organism with its medicine working on it.Thanks
