Had Strong Smelling Urine. Tested Positive For Urine, Given Bactrium. Partner Diagnosed With Chylamdia And Had Sex. Suggest?
I currently went to the doctor to get tested because I was having a strong smelling urine the doctor found nothing positive so she treated the burning of the urine wither medication called Bactrim. I later found out that my sexual partner had been diagnosed with chylamdia and took the pill required to rid it but we had sex the same day the pill was taken. Even though the pain and strong smelling urine is gone am I negative of any diseases still.
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed strong smell of your urine.
This is most likely to be due to either highly concentrated urine or UTI.
Pleas get your urine culture done.Continue taking Bactrim till you get culture report and switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report after getting the report.
Get microscopic examination of urethral discharge done to rule out Chlamydia infection .
Ensure to drink more water to keep your urine alkaline. Dr.Patil.
