Had Serious Dizziness. Was Told I Had An Ear Infection. Started Coughing Blood From Throat. What Is The Cause?

Approx 3 years ago I had serious dizziness which wosens when I lay down or turn in bed. The local doctor at that time said I could have an ear infection but I didn't agree. The condition continued until last June when I started coughing up blood but it was from the throat, not the chest. This aleviated all symtoms but they have recently returned. I also have spasmodic pains in my head (not headache) mainly around the back of the right ear although they do occur in other areas within the head. Any idea what may be the cause please?

The symptoms of dizziness which worsens on lying down or turning in bed matches with the diagnosis of " Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)". It is not related to ear infection rather it is due to disorder in the floating particles in the inner ear fluid. It not an alarming condition. You should get examined by the local ENT doctor and go for necessary tests.
