Had Numb Jaw And Chest Pain With Cold Sweat. What Could Be The Problem?

Hi I am a 39 yr old NYC firefighter. The other day I wasn't feeling well & layed down for a rest. All of a sudden my jaw went numb & I had the worst chest pains I ever felt accompanied with a cold sweat. My son was home so I didn't want to scare or alarm him. It never came back so I didn't pursue it. Was hoping it was a isolated incident. Can you add some of your knowledge & expertise to my problem? Thx

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some cardiac ailment like angina.
This is due to coronary insufficiency giving rise to poor blood supply to heart.
Consult cardiologist and go for EKG.
Ok and take care.
