Had Mole Removed On Lower Back. Itching And Redness In Wound. Normal Signs Of Healing?

I recently had a mole removed And had interior and exterior stitches. It is on my lower back and is very difficult for me to see. Because I live alone I can only get help to re- bandage very other day. The last three days my wound has been very itchy and it is very red. I know these can be normal signs if healing , but how itchy is too itchy?
