Had Lumpectomy, Removed Non Estrogen Cancer. Cancer Cells Were Not In Lymph Nodes. Suggest Treatment?

I recently had a lumpectomy. The Physician told me I had a 1.2 cm mass removed that was non-estrogen cancer. I am to see the Oncologist next. The cancer cells were not in my lymph nodes. I understand that I have to get radiation, but I am uncertain if I will get chemotherapy. Also it is ductal. What treatment is usually given in my circumstances. I realize your answer is not carved in stone and each cancer patient is different, I just need a general idea of whats to come. Thanks for your time. Cindy YYYY@YYYY

Hi welcome to health care magic forum.
Generally, any breast carcinoma is treated aggresively even if there is no sign of lymph node involvement. chempth may be unpleasant but i am sure that you want to reduce risk of recurence as much as you can. so just be patient and go through all this.you will feel better after you know that you are giving your best.
Hope I have answered your query.
