Had intestine removed. What can issues with eating?

Hi my significant other had emergency surgery a year ago november- he had 3 ft of his intestine removed and still to this day is having issues with eating and it going straight through him. he weight 180 last year and now this year he weighs 145. i am very concerned about him. can you please tell me if this is normal and what he could try doing to help him!

such symptoms usually occurs after bowel resection and presents with short Gut Syndrome. in which food do not get much time to stay in bowel for digestion and absorption.
However symptoms can be improved with taking small amount of foot every after some interval rather than taking the whole food at one time. take fibrous diet and fresh fruits. do regular exercise.
