Had Breast Cancer. Have Pustules On Breast Around The Nipple, Allergic To Penicillin. On Clarithromycin Antibiotic. Suggest

I have pustules on my breast around the nipple and where the initial inscision took place I have had 1 weeks worth of clarithromyacin antibiotic but the inflammation and soreness and pustules still keep appearing I am allergic to penicillin the surgery took place 3weeks ago breast reduction and lipofill after breast cancer

Dear Ma'am,

Sorry to hear about your problem. Sometimes the pustules which you are describing occur due to allergy to the dressing material. It is best to avoid any dressing over the scar if it has healed. Just apply some moisturising cream and these lesions will subside on their own.
If there is any pus discharge, consult the surgeon and have him send a pus culture for the same.
