Had 8 Back Surgeries, Dorsal Spinal Implant, Taking Fentanyl, Norco For Pain Control. Any Better Medicines ?
Hello, I have had 8 back surgeries, (3 laminectomies with fusions or should I say non-union fusions. I have a dorsal spinal implant I am on my second set of steffie plates. I have been on Fentanyl 100mcg/hr q 48 hrs and I also tale 5 Norco 10/325 1 tab 5 times a day as needed for breakthrough pain. Do you think I would have better control with a pain pump. I have gain a tremendous amount of weight due to continuing pain and inability to exercise. I still have not gotten my pain under control and my current Dr. Says I am just about maxed out in the amounts of pain meds I am taking? Thank you.

It is unfortunate that you have not had significant pain relief despite multiple surgeries and high dose medications.
