Growing Blood Filled Bump On The Index Finger. Cure?

Several weeks ago I noticed a small bump on the side of my index finger. This bumb proceeded to grow to about 5mm in diameter. It was fluid filled. I thought it was a blister so I lanced it. It bleed for 2 day. Then I thought it was a common wart and treated it with compound W. All that did was degrade the surrounding tissue. Now I have the tender, elevated, blood filled blister looking thing that won't go away.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems that you are having growth containing proliferated blood vessels.

It is known as pyogenic granuloma , also called granuloma telangiectaticum.

It may occur due to minor trauma.

There is proliferation of capillaries causing small growth. It may be confused with wart. Slight injury to this growth causes bleeding.

Clinically it is recognisable disease. Dermatologist can easily diagnose.

You consult dermatologist.

Treatment is very simple.

It can be easily removed by electrocautery under local anaesthesia.it is a simple OPD procedure.

I hope you got my answer.

Regards.
