Gas & Severe Constipation After Taking Lactulose For Constipation, Back Pain, Stomach Pain & Diverticulitis
Good Morning! My mom was put on Lactulose solution due to constipation , back pain , stomach pain and diverticulitis . She has been on it for 4 days and she is feeling worse and feels more constipated. The only thing it has done is cause alot of gas. Should she continue taking this or stop and use a laxative? Thank you! Kim

Your mother should consume Lactulose after 2 hours of taking food with 2 glass of water so that it will pass to intestine causes less gas formation.
