Gas Pain Causing A-fib. Have History Of By-pass Surgery And Congestive Heart Failure. What Is Causing This?

what causes a heart patient to have severe gas pains that mimic angina? My mother is a heart patient (had quintuple by-pass surgery in 2002); congestive heart failure in 2008 during a dye test and in the last year and a half I've had to call the ambulance 14 times because her heart goes into A-fib and is unable to come out of it on her own so she needs meds to bring it back into a normal rythym. She suffers terrible gas pains that cause her to use her Nitro spray which can bottom out her blood pressure. One of her Drs told her to try Simethicone but it doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions? Let me know if you need to know what meds she is on.

Hi,
I read your concerns very carefully and would like to suggest that your mother should do all the needed exams to rule out any gastric problem.
I recommend to do abdominal ultrasound, Fibrogastroscopic exam, liver Biochemical analysis.
If no problem is observed than other causes are to be checked.
Hope i answered your query.
