General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Maddy
Following some precautions helps you in reducing your pain:
1. Alternate hot and cold fermentation.
2. Use hard bed to sleep, avoid pillow.
3. Apply anti-inflammatory gel gently to reduce pain.
4. Do regular physiotherapy and exercise by consulting you physiotherapist.
5. Avoid all long term sitting, standing and driving.
6. Avoid jerky movements of back.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor and by his advice do MRI of Lumber spine. Best treatment even surgery can be planned to stop the pain. But it should be done under the guidance of spine surgeon.
Best Wishes
