Gained Weight, Poor Memory After Thyroid Glands Were Removed. Taking Generic Synthroid, Cytomel, Iron Tablets

I had my thyroid glands out six years ago levoxyl finally worked and I felt better but had gained so much weight and have foggy thinking and memory. I know it is attributed to the new meds generic synthroid they have put me on since levoxyl is no longer made. I have started to take cytomel and iron tablets. do you have any other suggestion Do you have an endocrinologist

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Weight gain and mood changes are seen in hypothyroid condition. Get your thyroid level test done. You may need to adjust dose accordingly.
Change to other form of thyroxine may affect blood level of hormone due to difference in absorption and metabolism in body.
With help of endocrinologist you need to adjust your thyroxine dosage.
