Foot Injury, Cracking Sound, Bruise Near Bone, Swelling, Unable To Walk. Healing Time?

i was walking and as i went to step my foot bent inwards, and i fell over and i heard a crack noise, after 5 minutes of been on the floor my foot bruised near the bone on side/top of my foot, i tryed to get up and walk on it but it was too painful, after 6 hours the swelling still hurts as much and i cannot walk on it, how long will it take for the pain to stop?

Thanks for posting your query.

You had injury over your foot and after that swelling present and it is tender to touch.

It might be a soft tissue injury or a fracture.

You need a x-ray to rule out any fracture.

You need immobilization of foot. if this is due to soft tissue injury it takes a week & if due to fracture it takes 3 weeks time to heal.

So you have to visit an orthopaedic surgeon for exam & treatment plan acc. to that.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.

hello
thanks for choosing healthcare magic

there could be 2 possibilities in your case

it could be a simple sprain or it could be a fracture ( since you heard a cracking noise)

you can take a over the counter pain killer , tab. paracetamol three times a day with a moov spray should suffice

In case the pain persists there is high possibility of a fracture , get a X ray done .
you will need immobilisation of the joint and further management in case of fracture.
