Fluctuating Blood Sugar Levels. On Metformin. Suggest For Steady Level Of Blood Sugar

My blood sugars went to 60, I felt really sick,. I ate a sugary snack. Checked again in 15 minute and it went up to 216, I waited a half an hour and it went to 75. 2 hours later I am at 225. I have been feeling not so good on and off. I am on metformin 2 times a day at 500 mg each dose..
What do I do to stop this roller coaster?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir

Fluctuating blood sugars are caused due to erratic eating habits, bad physical activity profile, and inadequate medicines.

By your history it is evident that you are having complaints of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. In this case I advise you to check serum creatinine levels once.

Secondly review your drug metformin. Review with your doctor and fix the proper dosage.

Thanks
