Flu Like Symptoms. Diagnosed For Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, Swollen Lymph Nodes, Body Aches. Problem?
My 11yyr old has recurring flu like symptoms. She's been diagnosed with Cyclic vomiting syndrome but she also has swollen lymph nodes and body aches. Her pediatrician keeps insisting she has a virus. This "virus" occurs 2-3 times a month. No CBC has been done in the last two years. Strep, mono and flu test all neg. each time. Any ideas?

Get CBC done. If a five day course of antibiotics does not resolve the lymph node swelling then get fine needle aspiration cytology done. Possibility of tuberculosis also to be Considered depending on your country and geographic location.
