Hi,
Perineal area includes external genitalia and anal area. So, more accurate answer is possible if specific location is known. Anyhow, if the pea sized lump is located at external genitalia, the possibilities are:
- Folliculitis
- Lesions due to infection or
injury, etc
- Bartholin's cyst
- Vaginal cysts
At anal area, the possibilities are:
- Hemorrhoids
- Infected sentinel pile, etc.
As it is increasing in size, better to consult your gynecologist once and get examined. By clinical examination only, the exact nature of the lesion can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Antibiotics,
analgesic and anti inflammatory drugs and sitz bath help in treating the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
