Finished Periods But Still Have Cramps. No Bleeding. Cause?

I just had a period last week but I am cramping still on lmy lower right side but there is no bleed could u tell me what may cause this...I have had unprotected sex but I seriously doubt pregnancy. And I have noticed my lower abdomen if hard in the place where there is cramping and when I push down on it it hurts...just wondering what the problem could be thanks

Hello,
Since you have had a normal period, the possibility of pregnancy is absolutely ruled out unless you have some form of uterine anomaly. The cause of the cramping pain could be due to some pelvic infection, tubal movement following ovulation or related to the gut. You would need further investigation to isolate and treat the cause. Please contact a specialist for a local exam, pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram, blood counts and urinalysis. You would need an anti-spasmodic and a pelvic antibiotic along with local applications if needed. Please maintain genital hygiene and avoid intercourse until complete relief. Take care.
