Fever, Cramps, Flu Like Symptoms, Cough. Z-pac Given. Is It Normal Before Getting Period?
My 12, almost 13 year old daughter got a fever and kind of flu like symptoms on sunday. I took her to the doctor on tuesday where they did a flu/throat culture and prick blood test. She has a cough too, so he gave her a z pac for that. It's now thursday and she still has the fever. Last night she curled up in the fetal position and said she has severe cramping and it dawned on me that maybe she is about to get her period? Is that possible to have a fever and before the onset of her first period?
Hi, It is not necessary that fever is due to onset of her first period. Fever might be due to her present complain of having sore throat. Pain she is getting might be colicky pain might be due to starting of her first period. Having cramps, body ache, lithargy might be due to period. Ok and take her care.
