Fever, Congestion In Lungs And Nose. Prescribed Magnacef. Given Antibioticsurrimet. Further?
the doc has prescribed magnacef 325 mg for me. what is it for? my email id is YYYY@YYYY Actually i had fever and was given an antibioticsurrimet 3 caps for 4 days. My fever has gone but congestion in the lungs and nose is still there . when I went to the doc, he has advised magnacef 325 + increased dose of seroflo- 125 mg increased to 250mg + deriphylin

Magnacef is an antibiotic used for respiratory and general infections.
If you have congested lungs and nose then you should also get medicines prescribed from the doctor which are called decongestants.
The increased doses of Seroflo is okay for congestion.

Secretions that can cause Lung Congestion and Chest Cold and Respiratory Complications. Allergies are one of the biggest contributors to chest mucus. Excessive phlegm or chest mucus is often caused by viral or bacterial infections such as Influenza ,Bronchitis and Pneumonia.
When infections are treated with Antibiotics , the natural balance of the body becomes compromised.
My Advice is
Avoid Dairy products and Salts and Sugars and Cold foods , which can increase mucus production.
Fruits such as Pineapple ,Orange ,Grapefruits have beneficial effects.
Take THALEESADI CHURNAM three times a day with honey.
Take SWASHA KUDORI PILLS twice daily with hot water.
Take VASHARISHTAM 20 ml twice daily.
NASAL DROPS will clear Nasal congestion.
