Fell Down A Flight Of Stairs, Bruise Near Kidney Area, Pain On Moving, Breathing. Treatment?

I fell down on a flight of stairs last night, and woke up this morning with a sharp pain and deep bruise around my right kidney area. It gives me sharp pain when I move and when I inhale and exhale with a deep breath. Can I just wait it out and see if it goes away. I had too much to drink and am embarrassed about it, and would rather not bring attention to it.

The severity of the symptoms would dictate the further management. If your pain is mild, you may wait and watch. If your symptoms are moderate to severe, going to a doctor is advised. Also, if you have breathlessness, abdominal pain, blood in urine; see a doctor.
