Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Your husband's symptoms indicate that he is having fever with chills. The other digestive symptoms may be suggestive of an gastro-enteritis - an infection in the digestive tract. Usually gastro-intestinal infections are caused due to viruses and are often self-resolving.

I would suggest that you can give him paracetamol for the fever, ensure that he takes adequate fluids and give him a bland diet. If the fever persists for more that 3 days or he develops any other complications, then you have to take him to a doctor for further investigations and treatment.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar
