Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Feeling Obstruction In Abdomen. Ultrasound Normal. Diarrhea, Flatulence. What Is Wrong?
I feel like I have something stuck in my upper abdomen . It extends from the middle to right side, just underneath my sternum and rib cage. I have had this for 2 months now, the ultrasound showed nothing wrong. I have noticed that I have diahhrea and my flatulence is horrible (sorry, that sounds unpleasant). Do you have any ideas what s wrong?
You need to investigate further with endoscopy examination to visualize stomach and duodenum. If any organic cause or any lesion identified than biopsy should be Taken for further work up.
Empirically antibiotic and probiotic course can be prescribed. Avoid excess spicy foods intake. Maintain hydration with lots of water and maintain electrolyte balance with ORS.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
