Hi

It seems to be originating from nerves. Go for tests like Vitamin B 12 levels, blood glucose levels, serology for usual infections, etc. Also get your blood pressure checked. The face is mostly supplied by trigeminal nerve. If it is post-viral, then the pain will decrease. See a neurologist.
