Feeling Hypersensitivity In Face And Scalp. Have Sleep Apnea. Reason?
Recently I have been hypersensitive in my face and scalp......when I try to wash my face and around my hairline it feels like I am rubbing my face with sharp spikes.....I have sleep apnea and I have never had problems with the mask bothering my skin, but now it is uncomfortable when I put it on because my skin is so sensitive that it hurts,
It seems to be originating from nerves. Go for tests like Vitamin B 12 levels, blood glucose levels, serology for usual infections, etc. Also get your blood pressure checked. The face is mostly supplied by trigeminal nerve. If it is post-viral, then the pain will decrease. See a neurologist.
