Feel Shaky And Jittery After Exercise. Is This Normal?

hello I am fairly fit woman eat very healthy but during excersize after about 20 min. I feel all shaky inside. Loose muscle strength. It is frustrating. I ate three small pieces of tri tip, a small banana and a cup of leafy green salad and 1/2 of a small sweet potato for dinner and 8 oz. of water. waited 45 min. and then went running at the gym. I felt full but not too full. After 25 min. on the treadmill at 5.5 miles per hour here came the shakes and jitteriness. This happen two days ago after a 1 cup of oatmeal and a small protein bar. Then after about 45 min. of very hard bike ridding I felt shaky again. I do not understand my problem??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms of feeling shaky & jittery during is attributed to easy fatiguability, which can be due to:
1. Hormonal & metabolic causes like Thyroid anomaly.
2. Anemia (either Iron deficiency or Vit B12 deficiency anemia)
3. Any abnormality in blood pressure & blood sugar levels.
4. Deficiency of certain nutrients like Iron, Vitamin B 12, Calcium, etc. which also interferes with blood formation & nerve conduction.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained with intake of Haematinics & Nervigenic agents along with a healthy balanced diet.
However, the underlying cause needs to be treated.

So, kindly visit your General Physician & get a proper clinical examination done.
Investigations like complete blood count, estimation of blood pressure and blood sugar levels & Thyroid profile will be helpful.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
