Feel Fatigued, On Losartan Hctz, DiltiazemHcl Cd And Paleo Diet. Can Barely Walk, Took Benicar, Have Side Effect. What To Do ?

I was on losartan Hctz 100/12.5 & DiltiazemHcl Cd 120 1 each a day. I went on paleo diet 4 months ago and started to feel fatigued. I would come back from yoga & could barely walk up the steps in my home. I took my BP and it was 98/64. Not eating wheat & ALL grains reduced my BP. I am down to 1/2 pill of losartan every 2-3 days. Went to my cardiologist today and he wants me to stop these meds and take 20mg of Benicar a day. The side effects look horrible. I have noticed a huge difference in the way I feel not taking the amt of meds I was taking. I'm not tired, dizziness gone, hypotension is gone. So should I take 1/2 losartan or switch to Benicar?

Hello welcome to healthcaremagic.
Losartan cause the breakdown of muscle tissue which lead to Fatigueness.
Muscle breakdown may cause renal failure.
Long Term use of losartan may cause intolerable dry cough.
So, it is better to switch over to Benicar (Olmesartan).
Comparatively Olmesartan have less side effects than Losartan.
Please follow your Physician advice.
