Eye Pain, Pain In Eating Solid Food. Suspected Sinusitis And Put On Antibiotic, No Relief. Suggestion?
Hi, my friend is very worried about his father. He is 75 years old, and smoker for 50 plus years. Recently he has developed severe pain behind his right eye. Pain that causes him to double over. Also, he is having pain eating solid foods as well as hot foods. Cold does not bother him. His physician suspected sinusitis and started him on an antibiotic and expectorant with no relief of pain. He went to the eye doctor who told him he didn't find anything. I have been encouraging him to see an ENT. Any suggestions?
Hi, As father of your friend is a chain smoker for last 50 years, his this complain should not take lightly. Consult ENT surgeon and get examined. Laryngoscopy examination will give more precise clue regarding his problem. Ask him to stop smoking. Ok and take care.
