Experiencing Chest Tightness, Hurts While Releasing Breath. Should I Get It Checked?

I have noticed tightness in my chest today but no others symptoms however I haven't been to the gym since Friday so it's not like it would be due to sore muscles. I don't notice pain when I take a deep breath but it does hurt when I release that breath. Is this something I should get checked out?

Hi,
Thanks for your query.
This must be a musculoskeletal pain, If it were increasing on deep inhalation then probably it were pleuritic chest pain secondary to underlying pleural inflammation.

I think you may take a chest x-ray and may try a course of analgesic and muscle relaxant combination ans see if it is working or not...

Best wishes
