Excessive Skin In The Vagina. Genital Warts?

I recently noticed inside my inner lips of my vagina thatv there is excess skin there. I was worried to could be genital warts but it doesn t look l ok me any of the pictures I found online. Sometime it gets irritated because it s close to the vaginal opening. I have no abnormal bleeding or abnormal discharge . What could it be? Can irritation from sex cause this?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. From the description you have given and also because you do not have any symptoms of infection, it appears as though you have observed the hymenal tags. Often, after rupture of the hymen and the subsequent healing, the skin healing gives rise to tags here and there remnant of the hymen. Warts would present as projections from the skin most often and may be due to infection/genetic. A local examination by a specialist will help to sort out the issue. Irritation from intercourse presents as redness, irritation and perhaps some discharge. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
