Excessive gas formation and constant burping late in the evenings. Why ?

I am a 57 yr old asian male, in good health, exercise regularly, consistently long work hours--- recently, towards the end of the day (late afternoon) while at my desk sitting, develop excessive gas and am constantly burping for the next 4 hrs or home, same thing. Only cure seems to go for a fast walk or run, or go lie down...just started happening, bothersome. AAAAA

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Gas is not produced in the STOMACH. It is usually the swallowed air, that is responsible. Munching and swallowing with closed mouth helps to reduce. Stress is a large contributing factor, in some people.
Some high fibre foods, foods difficult to digest – usually whole grain, beans - can be the cause of gas in the INTESTINE.
Pro-kinetic agents (like Domperidone), anti-flatulents (like simethicone), adsorbents (like activated charcoal) individually or in combination can help. They are generally available over the counter, in most places.
If the problem persists, you should see a doctor.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
