Earlier Had Heartburn. Recurrent Purging. What Damage Could I Have Done?

Hi my name is Nicole and I am 16 years old. ive only purged three times in my life, all at different times. today was my third time purging. I purged until there supposedly was nothing left. I want to know if I have done great damage to my liver, stomach, esophagus, or mouth. A few months ago a had frequent heartburn but it was solved through the use of tums, now I rarely get it. Ive been reading online about signs of internal bleeding or any type of cancer and I want to know the chance. although it would be impossible to tell online, id like to at least have an inference of what damage I could have done. thanks

Hi,
With small matter you worried more.
Nothing to worry, there are few common causes of your having this problem.
You might be having acid reflux or some minor infection in GI tract.
Change your food habit.
Avoid taking fried, chillies and junk food.
Take Omiprazole tablet as and when required.
Ok and take care.

Welcome to HCM.
It occurs usually due to severe acid production in the stomach most likely after taking oily, spicy food.Stress, anxiety also affects like this.
There might be damage of stomach and esophageal wall.If it is recurrent than there is chances of peptic ulcer development.
Take light and more liquid diet.Eat more nutritious, high fiber diet.Avoid spicy, oily food.Drink enough water and other liquids like fruit juices, buttermilk.
You can take rebeprazole or pentoprazole with domperidone.
Lactobacillus will be helpful.
If it is recurrent than go for cbc, urm, stool and even endoscopic examination to rule out the diagnosis.
Consult gastroenterologist for better guidance and proper medical management.
