Dull Stomach Pain, Groin Pain. Surgery Done For Left Sciatic Nerve. Treatment?

i have a dull ache in left lower stomach and groin for the last 5 months. did a ct scan , colonoscpy, xrays for any pinched nerves; currently have them work on my left sciatic nerve . my stomach has settle down but caffeine seems to afffect this and stree for sure cause the pain. any tips for things I can have my doctors look for? Thank you.

The information is very sketchy. I wish you had posted more details, such as, your age and gender; nature of bowel movements; blood or mucus in stools ever in the past; itching in the rectum; burning or pain in passing urine; increased frequency of urination; urinary infections in the past; pain in the left hip while walking; observation of a momentary bulge in left lower abdomen + groin while coughing of straining.

In the absence of the desired information, I can hazard a couple of guesses : an early left sided hernia or, irritable bowel syndrome (a condition characterized by erratic bowel movements, abdominal discomfort, acidity, diarrhea/constipation, gas formation etc... These symptoms are aggravated by mental stress, emotional upsets, and beverages like coffee/tea...to name a few.

You may discuss with your doctor, who will examine you for these two conditions.
