Done Semen Analysis. Is It A Sign Of Infection?

HI I have a question. I m 23 years old. I ve just taken semen analysis yesterday. I hadn t known before so I ejaculated 3 days ago. My result is not very good. No.: 30 million/ml. Fast forward: 25%, Slow forward: 10%. Liquefaction: 120MIN. Normal morpho: 70%. ph 9. my liquefaction is long, I m afraid it s a sign of infection. What kind of service I should take at a hospital next???

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your semen analysis is well within normal range as compared to WHO standards except the factthat semen liquefaction time is 120 minutes .

This could be due to infection of the prostate (Prostatitis).

If you are married and trying for conception please consult qualified Infertilty specialist and get Post Coital Test of your wife done to confirm presence of sperms in cervical mucus

If the test is positive you need not worry at all .

However if the test id negative and there are no sperms or dead sperms in cervical mucus you may need to take antibiotics for 2-6 weeks to combat infection.
