Hello there,
welcome to health care majic,

Your present knee complaints are suggestive of ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) or Medial meniscus tear. Few clinical tests like anterior drawer test(for ACL) and Mc.Murrey test (for meniscus) will confirm the clinical diagnosis and making a right judgement.
For now you have to strengthen your knee and hip muscles and improve knee stability.

Wish you a good health soon.
